I've been using the SUKAI AA rechargeable batteries for a few months now, and here's my honest take. First off, the 2800mAh capacity is legit—these guys power my high-drain devices like digital cameras and LED work lights noticeably longer than standard alkalines. I got a solid 5 hours of continuous use in a bright headlamp on high mode (using 3 batteries), which impressed me.
The pre-charged feature is convenient for emergency use, though I noticed they perform best after 3-5 full cycles. The steel casing feels premium and gives me peace of mind against leaks—no messy explosions like some cheap batteries I've used before.
BUT... there are quirks. The voltage sits at 1.16V when fully charged (measured with my tester), which is slightly lower than ideal. After a month of storage, they dropped to ~1V—not terrible for NiMH but not quite the '80% retention after 3 years' claim either.
Where these shine? Solar lights! They interchange perfectly with my garden lights and recharge decently via solar panels. For heavy daily use though, some cells in my batch started failing after repeated cycles—8 out of 24 became unreliable despite using a quality charger.
At this price point (especially in bulk), they're decent for medium-drain devices like remotes or wireless mice. Just temper expectations—these aren't Eneloop-tier but outperform dollar-store rechargeables by miles.
