Okay, so I just finished Midnight Black (Gray Man #14) and wow—this might be my favorite in the series yet. Court Gentry is back, and he's as relentless as ever.
The action? Non-stop. Like, from page one, you're thrown into this wild ride where Court has to sneak into Russia (because of course he does) to save Zoya. The prison break sequence alone had me holding my breath.
But here's the thing—the first half dragged a bit for me. Like, could we have cut 100 pages of setup? Probably. But once it picks up, it REALLY picks up. The last 20% is pure adrenaline.
Also, that ending?? No spoilers, but... what does this mean for Court and Hanley? Greaney really knows how to leave us hanging.
If you're new to the series—start from the beginning! The character dynamics (Court, Zoya, Zack) are too good to miss. But if you're already a fan? This one delivers.
