Let me start by saying this little beast is FAST. I mean, 'forgot-what-buffering-means' fast. Hitting over 1Gbps on 160MHz channels? Yes please! The AX3000 delivered consistent speeds across all my devices - laptop, phone, even my smart fridge seemed happier.
Installation was a breeze with PoE support (though they include a DC adapter too). Just mounted it on the ceiling using the included kit, and boom - we're in business. The web interface is straightforward enough that even my tech-challenged roommate could set it up.
Now for the not-so-great parts: Only two SSIDs total (one per band)? In 2023? That means sharing your main network password with guests. And no WPA3 or VLAN support makes this a hard sell for business use despite its 'business solution' labeling.
The mesh support works decently, though I had to power cycle my first unit to add a second one. Coverage is impressive - my entire 2,500 sq ft home gets solid signal now where my old router left dead zones.
Bottom line: If raw speed is your priority and you don't need advanced features, this delivers exceptional performance for the price. But power users might miss the flexibility of OpenWRT or Ubiquiti's ecosystem.
