Let's talk about the Brazen Boost Plano Leaded Glasses. First off, the matte dark obsidian color is seriously sleek - these look way cooler than your typical radiation glasses. The .75mm lead equivalency SF-6 Schott glass lenses do their job well, and I noticed they're noticeably clearer than other leaded glasses I've tried.
Comfort-wise, I was pleasantly surprised. The lightweight wrap-around frame sits nicely without pinching, and the included hard case and soft cloth bag are nice touches. Wearing them during long X-ray procedures, they didn't feel heavy or uncomfortable.
However, there are some serious quality control issues. My first pair arrived with a lens crack (like some other reviewers experienced), and the replacement pair had some weird prescription-like distortion. Also, the plastic frame feels flimsy - I'm extra careful with them after reading about others' frames breaking after minimal use.
The lack of side protection is a trade-off for the stylish design. They work fine for direct exposure but don't expect full coverage. If you get a good pair, they're great, but the inconsistent quality makes me hesitant to fully recommend them.
