Just got my hands on the Sony TOUGH-M 128GB SD card and wow – this thing feels indestructible! The molded plastic design makes it way sturdier than my old Sandisk cards that kept delaminating.
Speed tests on my A7C showed 250MB/s reads and 195MB/s writes – more than enough for 4K video and RAW bursts. No buffer clearing issues even during long dance event shoots (5,000+ RAW files!).
The waterproof/dustproof rating gives me peace of mind after losing a whole shoot to a failed card last year. Though let's be real – unless you're dropping cards in lasagna or oceans, the regular version might suffice.
Only gripe? The UHS-II slot fit is slightly tight in my GH5. And yes, there was that whole corruption recall thing – but Sony's RMA process was surprisingly painless (11 days turnaround).
At this price, it's overkill for casual shooters. But for pros working in harsh conditions? Absolute lifesaver. Five stars for durability alone!
