Okay, so I took a gamble on this Cudy router for my RV travels, and wow—it actually delivers! Plugged in a Visible SIM (after some APN tweaks—use vzwinternet, not the listed one), and boom: 30Mbps down. Not fiber, but for streaming by the lake? Perfect.
The detachable antennas are clutch. Weak signal at a campsite? Just pop on an outdoor antenna. The admin interface isn’t pretty, but if you’ve ever set up a router, it’s familiar. Bonus: setting TTL/HL both to 65 tricks carriers into thinking it’s a phone (hello, unlimited data!).
Downsides? Instructions might as well be hieroglyphics. Had to Google-fu my way through setup. And the Cudy app? Useless—just use the web interface. But for $100-ish, this little box keeps me online off-grid. 4.5/5 stars, minus half for the setup headache.
