Just got my hands on these 70mm ceramic coral frag plates, and I'm impressed! The pure white color makes it easy to monitor coral growth, and the 0.23-inch thickness feels sturdy enough to handle multiple frags.
The high-temperature firing process really shows in the quality - no weird odors or leaching that could affect water quality. I've been using them for my Zoanthids, and they've got plenty of room to spread out before needing relocation.
While most arrived intact (kudos to the solid packaging), one plate did crack in transit. Not the product's fault though - more of a shipping hazard to be aware of.
These plates shine for propagation purposes. The smooth surface takes super glue well, and I love how you can arrange multiple plates to create expanding coral colonies. They work great mounted on tank backgrounds too!
One minor gripe: cutting through these with bone cutters requires some serious elbow grease. But that density is exactly what makes them so durable for long-term use in saltwater environments.
