Okay, so I just finished 'That Second Chance' and WOW. Meghan Quinn has done it again! This book had me grinning like an idiot at 2 AM.
Griffin and Ren's chemistry? *Chef's kiss*. The whole 'cursed widower meets city girl' trope worked way better than I expected. Also, can we talk about how hilarious Griffin's brothers are? I need their stories ASAP.
The small town vibes were so cozy - it made me want to move to Port Snow immediately (minus the whole moose situation). Though I will say, the parents showing up unannounced felt a bit unrealistic - like who does that?
What really got me was the emotional depth. One minute I'm laughing at the brothers' antics, next minute I'm clutching my chest because Griffin's grief felt so raw. That transition from friendship to love was *chef's kiss* perfection.
Minor complaint: The insta-love switch at 70% was a bit jarring. Like dude went from 'never again' to 'let's get married tomorrow' real quick. But overall? 4.5/5 stars from me!
