Okay, so I've been using these Pronto Vitamin D3 softgels for about 2 months now and here's the real tea:
First off - the capsules are TINY and super easy to swallow. No weird aftertaste or anything, which is a major win for me because some supplements make me gag.
I got these after my doctor said my vitamin D levels were 'sad' (her actual word). Working from home + winter = zero sunlight exposure. The 1000 IU dose seems perfect - not too weak, not too strong.
BUT... I wish they were more transparent about where the D3 comes from. Like, is it from sheep? Fish? Lichen? The bottle doesn't say and their website is impossible to find. Not cool for people with dietary restrictions.
Also, why the rice flour filler? It's completely unnecessary and actually problematic for some folks. There are cleaner options at this price point.
That said, I do feel better overall since taking these. More energy, no more random bone aches. The bottle lasts a decent while (120 capsules). Would I repurchase? Maybe - but I'll probably shop around for a more transparent brand first.
