Okay, so I finally tried these 'magic' shaping shorts everyone's raving about. Here's the real tea...

First off, the comfort level is legit. Wore them under a bodycon dress for a wedding and didn't feel like I was being squeezed to death. That's rare for shapewear!

The no-roll feature actually works? Shocking. Usually by hour 3 I'm doing that awkward bathroom adjustment dance, but these stayed put all night.

But heads up - if you're between sizes, size up. My friend (who's usually a medium) got the large and still had some muffin top action happening. The waistband doesn't play.

Bonus: They double as warm leggings for winter! Wore them under jeans when it was freezing and my legs didn't turn into icicles. Multitasking win.

Would I buy again? Yeah, but only during sales. At full price I'd expect slightly better smoothing. Still better than most shapewear I've tried though!
