Let me start by saying the YNF Smart Plug is a dream for Alexa users who hate complicated setups. The 'Alexa, discover devices' command actually works instantly – no app wrestling required. I plugged in my living room lamp and was controlling it with voice commands within 30 seconds.

The Bluetooth Mesh feature is brilliant for extending range. I placed one plug in my backyard shed (35ft from Echo) and it worked perfectly by daisy-chaining through another plug. Morning coffee routine became magical with scheduled on/off timers.

However, there's one glaring safety issue: power restoration defaults to ON. During a recent brownout, my space heater turned back on automatically. This could be dangerous for certain appliances – a serious oversight for an otherwise great product.

Connection stability is hit-or-miss. While most users report flawless performance, my unit occasionally requires physical resetting despite strong signal. At this price point though, it still outperforms many competitors in terms of basic functionality.
