Okay, so I just finished 'Writing for Animals' and wow - mind blown! This isn't just another writing guide, it's like a whole new perspective on how we talk about our furry (and not-so-furry) friends.
The book made me realize how often we use harmful stereotypes without thinking. Like calling someone a 'pig' or saying 'crazy as a fox'. The authors show how to write with respect while still keeping your voice authentic.
My favorite part was the section on point-of-view. Writing FROM an animal's perspective instead of ABOUT them creates such powerful storytelling. I tried it with my current project and the difference is insane!
Only wish it was longer - 4.5/5 stars from me. If you write anything involving animals (even metaphors!), this book will change your approach completely.
