Right out of the box, the TAILONZ air drying system feels like a solid investment—until you notice the plastic components. The metal parts are sturdy, and the included accessories (like the Teflon tape and spare filters) save you from extra trips to the hardware store.
Installation was straightforward, and the 1/2" NPT ports fit snugly. At 60 PSI, the first two stages (particulate and coalescing filters) performed flawlessly, leaving my air tools crisp and moisture-free. The desiccant beads turning pink? Handy visual cue—no guesswork.
But here’s the hitch: the plastic sight glasses and filter indicators are a weak link. Mine cracked under pressure, causing leaks. I MacGyvered fixes—rubber gaskets, sealing the indicator ports—and now it runs smoothly. For the price, it’s functional, but brace for DIY repairs if you push the PSI limits.
