Okay, so I finally caved and bought the Squatz Ab Roller after seeing it all over fitness TikTok. Here’s the real tea—no fluff, just facts.
First off, the width is… questionable. The listing said 15 inches, but my tape measure says 7 inches. Not cool. That said, it’s still wider than my old 5-inch roller, so I’ll let it slide (literally).
The recoil is decent—not mind-blowing, but it does the job. I’m 6’2" and 222lbs, and it held up fine. The spring has a bit more resistance than my other rollers, which I actually kinda like? Makes the burn feel more intentional.
Handles are firm plastic—not cushy, but not wrist-killers either. The included knee pad is meh (I upgraded to a thicker mat), but hey, it’s free.
Biggest surprise? The digital counter/timer. It lights up like a rave and counts reps, but only registers full wheel rotations. As a short king, I barely hit full rotations, so I just count manually. Not a dealbreaker, but lol @ the design oversight.
Verdict: Solid for the price, but don’t believe the width hype. My abs hate me (in a good way).
