I’ve been using these KING MOUNTAIN hook and loop strips for a few months now, and they’ve been a mixed bag. Let me break it down for you.
First, the good: The adhesive backing is STRONG. I used these to secure my subwoofer box in my SUV, and it hasn’t budged an inch, even with heavy bass vibrations. The strips held up perfectly against the carpet, and I didn’t need to drill or sew anything - just peel, stick, and press.
But here’s the catch: The actual hook-and-loop grip isn’t as impressive. I tried using them for lighter items like photo frames and USB lights, and they failed miserably. The Velcro just wouldn’t hold together, no matter how many strips I used.
Where they really shine is in semi-permanent applications. I screwed some strips onto wood pieces to anchor my sub box (ported with two 10” DD subs), and that setup has been rock solid for half a year now. The adhesive itself maintains its bond strength beautifully over time.
For the price, they’re decent for heavy-duty uses, but don’t expect miracles with lightweight items. I’d buy them again - but only for specific projects where I need that strong adhesive backing.
