Okay, so I grabbed these leaded glasses for work (IR procedures), and here's the tea ☕️...
First off, they're surprisingly stylish? Like, I was expecting some clunky lab goggles but these actually look like regular hipster frames. The TR-90 nylon feels sturdy but not heavy - no neck strain after 4-hour procedures!
MAJOR POINT: The side panels have black tape (Pb lining) that you CANNOT remove. Saw one reviewer peel it off - big mistake! That's literally the radiation protection part turning white when exposed. Keep the tape on, folks.
Fit is 👌 for smaller faces (finally!). Comes with straps just in case, but the adjustable nose piece works well for me. Case included is a nice touch - protects my $200 investment.
Warning for surgeons: The side panels aren't fully clear like the product photos suggest. That black tape blocks peripheral vision. Not OR-friendly if you need full visibility.
Verdict? Solid for radiologists, maybe not for surgeons. Does what it promises - blocks radiation while looking decent. 4/5 stars (minus 1 for the misleading side panel photos).
