Okay, so I've been using this little float valve for about 3 months now in my backyard pond setup, and here's the tea:
First off, installation was stupid easy - like 'I-did-it-while-drinking-coffee' easy. The small size is perfect for hiding behind some plants, which is great because let's be real, nobody wants to see ugly plumbing in their water feature.
The water flow is surprisingly strong! At 40 psi it moves about 3 gallons per minute, which keeps my pond topped up nicely. Though fair warning - it does make this weird gurgling noise when operating. I fixed this by adding a short downpipe to discharge underwater (total game changer).
Major plus: NO electricity needed! Just pure mechanical genius. It's been working flawlessly through temperature changes, unlike my old valve that would leak when it got cold.
Only complaint? I wish it had adjustable water height settings. Sometimes I want to change the water level slightly and have to get creative with the positioning.
Would I buy again? Absolutely. For the price, it's solved my automatic water top-up needs perfectly. Just don't forget to check the screen monthly - basic maintenance keeps it happy!
