Okay, so I just finished Temple of the Winds and WOW. This book had me screaming into my pillow at 2AM. Terry Goodkind really knows how to mess with your emotions!
The pacing? Chef's kiss. After the snoozefest that was Book 3, this one had me flipping pages like my life depended on it. That plague storyline? Disturbingly good. I may never look at chicken soup the same way again.
Nadine and Drefan - ugh, I wanted to throw my Kindle every time they showed up. But that just means Goodkind wrote them perfectly. The Temple scenes? Mind-blowing. That dark scene everyone talks about? Yeah, I'm still recovering.
My only complaint? Richard and Kahlan's endless will-they-won't-they is getting old. Like guys, just kiss already! But that ending? Absolute perfection. Now excuse me while I immediately start Book 5.
