Okay, so I finally got my hands on the AUTOOL BT260 tester after reading mixed reviews. Here’s the tea:
First off, this thing is WAY more affordable than those fancy name-brand probes. Sure, it’s not built like a tank, but it gets the job done without making my wallet cry.
The display? Chef’s kiss. Bright, clear, and actually easier to read than some premium models I’ve seen. No squinting in dark garages!
Used it to chase down some gremlins in my buddy’s truck - tested fuses, grounds, even some sensor circuits. The color-coded LEDs are genius (red for positive, green for negative). No more guessing which wire is which!
Pro tip: The extension cable is loooong (like 20ft). Lifesaver when working on trailer wiring or that one hard-to-reach connector behind the dash.
Downsides? The carrying case is TIGHT. You’ll play Tetris fitting everything back in. And yeah, the buzzer sounds like a dying robot - but it works!
For the price? 10/10 would recommend. It’s not perfect, but it’s perfect enough for my garage tinkering.
