After my hip replacement surgery, this kit became my daily companion. The two grabbers are absolute stars – I keep the shorter one in the bathroom and the longer one by my bed. That rotating head? Genius for picking up dropped pills or adjusting blankets without calling for help.
The sock aid tool surprised me most. At first I felt silly using it, but that first morning I put on socks completely alone? Pure victory. It's become my favorite part of the routine – there's something satisfying about mastering the technique.
Showering became manageable with the bath sponge, though I wish the handle was longer (14" doesn't cut it when you can't bend). The mesh side creates great lather, but I nearly dropped it twice – a wrist strap would prevent disaster.
Biggest letdown was the flimsy leg lifter. Mine arrived bent and never regained proper shape. I replaced it with a yoga strap that provides better support. The dressing stick works fine for pulling shirts off, but the button hook remains untouched in my drawer.
Despite these issues, I'd buy it again just for the grabbers and sock aid. For the price, it's worth it even if you only use half the pieces regularly during recovery.
