Let me tell you about my experience with the MIKA3D Rainbow PLA filament. The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful color transitions - they change every 5-10 meters, creating stunning multicolored prints without needing to swap filaments.
The transparency is gorgeous, though don't expect glass-like clarity. It's more like a translucent candy effect that catches light beautifully. I printed some decorative vases and the way the colors blended was absolutely mesmerizing.
Printing was surprisingly smooth once I dialed in the settings. I found 205°C nozzle temp worked best with my Ender 3, though some users report needing higher temps. Bed adhesion was good at 60°C without any special adhesives.
The filament comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant, which is great, but like some reviewers mentioned, I did need to dry mine for a few hours before first use as it felt slightly brittle out of the package.
The color-changing feature works as advertised - much faster than other rainbow filaments I've tried. However, the randomness means you can't predict exactly where color changes will occur in your print.
One minor annoyance: the spool design could be better. While it's tangle-free initially, you need to be careful about securing the loose end after use to prevent tangles for next time.
Overall, this is fantastic filament for decorative prints and gifts. The vibrant colors and smooth finish make ordinary prints look extraordinary. Just be prepared for some initial setup tweaking.
