As someone who's used the 9th edition of Modern Livestock & Poultry Production for my agriculture courses, I have mixed feelings about this textbook.
The GOOD: The content itself is actually quite engaging for a textbook (shocking, I know!). The information is well-organized with clear diagrams that made complex concepts about animal husbandry easier to understand. I particularly liked the real-world case studies that connected theory to actual farming practices.
The BAD: My digital copy was a nightmare! Like another reviewer mentioned, mine failed to download properly at first. After three attempts and contacting customer support, I finally got access - but the formatting was messed up with missing pages. Definitely not what you expect when paying textbook prices!
PRO TIP: If you must get this book, go for the physical copy. The digital version seems to have consistent technical issues based on multiple complaints. The content is valuable for students, but the ebook platform needs serious improvement.
Final verdict? 3/5 stars - great information trapped in a problematic delivery system.
