I've been using the JUNLIT 15A Dual Smart Plug for a few weeks now, and overall, it's been a solid addition to my smart home setup. The compact design is a major plus—it doesn't block adjacent outlets, which is great for crowded power strips. Setup was surprisingly easy; the app recognized the plugs right away, and I had them connected to Alexa in minutes.
The voice control feature works seamlessly with both Alexa and Google Assistant. I love being able to say 'Alexa, turn on the coffee maker' while still half-asleep in bed. The timer and scheduling functions are also handy—I’ve set my lamps to turn on at dusk automatically, which adds both convenience and a bit of security when I'm not home.
However, there are some quirks. The QR code setup feels clunky, and the fact that it's permanently stuck on top of the plug isn’t exactly aesthetically pleasing. Also, the 'master' device that shows up in the app seems pointless—it doesn’t control anything and just adds confusion. And while the plugs work well, I wish they supported 5GHz Wi-Fi for faster connectivity.
Safety-wise, I appreciate the overload protection feature. It gives me peace of mind when running high-wattage appliances like space heaters (though I try not to push it too hard). One downside: some users reported units failing after a few months due to capacitor issues, so longevity might be a concern.
For the price, these plugs deliver decent value. They’re not perfect, but they get the job done—especially if you’re looking for an affordable way to dip your toes into smart home automation.
