I've been using the Mixvova Leather Bookmarks for a few weeks now, and they've quickly become my go-to for marking my reading progress. There's something undeniably satisfying about sliding one of these sleek, retro-style bookmarks between the pages of my current read.
The thin 0.05-inch profile is perfect - substantial enough to handle easily but slim enough not to bulge my books. I particularly love how they don't leave any marks or indentations on the pages, which was a problem I had with thicker bookmarks before.
While they're marketed as leather, they're actually PU leather (as noted in some reviews). At first I was slightly disappointed, but honestly? The material feels premium regardless - soft to the touch with nice flexibility. The stitching detail adds a lovely handmade touch that makes them feel special.
I've used them across different book sizes from paperbacks to hardcovers without issues. The only exception might be very delicate special editions where you'd want something even thinner. The variety of colors means I can color-code by genre or mood - currently using the brown one for nonfiction and red for fiction!
Bonus discovery: They make excellent impromptu rulers when I need to underline passages in pencil. The straight edge works perfectly for this unexpected use case.
Would I recommend them? Absolutely - especially as gifts (they come beautifully packaged). Just know you're getting quality PU leather rather than genuine leather, and you'll be thoroughly pleased with these elegant reading companions.
