Okay, so I've been using this VTech monitor for about 3 months now and here's the real tea ☕
First off - that 1080p camera is CRISP. Like, I can see my baby's eyelashes flutter during naps clear as day. Night vision? Chef's kiss 👌 Way better than my old grainy monitor.
The app is lowkey amazing though? Being able to check on my little one from work without paying subscription fees feels like hacking parenthood. Two-way talk works surprisingly well - my baby actually stops crying when she hears my voice through it!
BUT... that battery life? Girl 💀 If this monitor was a person, it'd be that friend who's always asking to borrow your charger. Lasts maybe 2 hours unplugged max. I basically treat it as a corded monitor at this point.
Pro tip: The motion alerts are sensitive AF. Like, 'baby breathing slightly differently' sensitive. Great for anxious parents (me), annoying when you just want to chill without constant notifications.
The lullabies feature? Cute but basic. My toddler prefers when I sing horribly off-key through the speaker anyway 🤷♀️
Would I buy again? Probably - despite the flaws, it's still the best monitor I've tried in this price range. Just keep it plugged in and you're golden!
