I recently got my hands on this Artist Teabag Paper, and it's been a revelation for my mixed media projects. The 12" x 360" roll is incredibly convenient - no more fussing with individual sheets!
What really surprised me was how this paper handles wet media. I've used it for cyanotypes, and it held up beautifully without tearing, even when soaked. The transparency creates stunning layered effects when combined with alcohol inks - the colors just glow through!
For collage work, this has become my go-to. It takes glue perfectly and maintains its integrity even when I'm doing multiple pulls from my gel plate. The acid-free quality gives me peace of mind for archival projects.
One word of caution though - while it works great for many techniques, I did find it less ideal for direct gelli plate printing as the paint sits more on the surface rather than absorbing in.
The abaca fiber gives it this unique combination of strength and delicacy that's hard to find in other papers. At this price point for such a large quantity, it's become an essential in my studio.
