Let me start by saying this display case looks absolutely stunning when assembled. The frosted acrylic base diffuses the LED light beautifully, giving my autographed basketball a museum-worthy spotlight effect. I particularly love how the velvet bottom keeps it stable on my shelf - no annoying sliding around!
The assembly was mostly straightforward, though I did have a minor panic when I thought I was missing a panel (turns out they were just mislabeled). Pro tip: lay everything out on a flat surface first. The included instructions and video were helpful, but those acrylic pins? Handle them like they're made of glass - because basically they are. One wrong twist and they'll shatter.
Now for the not-so-great parts. That cool LED lighting? It forgets its brightness setting every time you turn it off, which means no smart plugs or timers. And dust becomes painfully visible under the lights - I find myself wiping down the case weekly. The glue holding the base plate is laughably weak; mine popped off when I barely bumped it. Honestly, you might be better off using museum putty instead.
Despite these flaws, when everything's working right, this case makes my basketball look like a priceless artifact. Just know what you're getting into - it's more of a 'set it and forget it' display than something you'll be constantly rearranging.
