After using the Eureka Air Vent Deflectors for several months, I can confidently say they're one of the better vent redirectors out there. The neodymium magnets are shockingly strong - they've stayed put on my steel ceiling vents even when my ceiling fan is running at full speed.
What surprised me most was how invisible they are once installed. The clear polycarbonate material blends seamlessly with my white vents. Unlike bulky plastic deflectors I've tried before, these don't scream 'DIY solution' in my otherwise nicely decorated room.
The adjustability works exactly as advertised. My vents range from 12" to 14" wide, and the deflectors expanded smoothly to fit each one without sagging. The stopping mechanism at maximum extension feels sturdy and well-engineered.
I did have one minor issue - on my aluminum bathroom vent (where magnets don't work), the 3M adhesive tabs didn't hold as well in the humid environment. They lasted about three weeks before needing reapplication. For metal vents though, the magnetic hold has been flawless.
While they're pricier than basic plastic deflectors, the quality justifies the cost for me. After seeing cheaper alternatives warp or discolor over time, these have maintained their clarity and shape through two seasons of use.
