Let me start by saying I had high hopes for this underwater-themed backdrop. The idea of transforming any space into a magical ocean scene for kids' parties or photo shoots sounded fantastic. But reality hit hard when I unrolled this 10x20ft vinyl monster.
The first thing that struck me was how stiff and plasticky the material felt - nothing like the soft, drapable fabric I expected. It arrived looking like it had been stuffed in a suitcase for months, with deep creases that refused to come out even after following the ironing instructions (which, by the way, is ridiculous to expect from customers).
The print quality was shockingly bad up close. What looked like vibrant coral and fish in the product photos turned out to be a pixelated mess when viewed from just a few feet away. The blurriness made it completely unusable for professional photography - you can literally see the individual dots making up the image.
For such an expensive backdrop (plus international shipping costs), I expected at least decent print resolution and manageable wrinkles. Instead, we got something that looks like it was printed on a home inkjet printer stretched beyond its capabilities. Definitely not worth the weeks-long wait or the premium price tag.
If you're considering this for anything more serious than a very casual backyard party where guests won't look too closely, save your money and look elsewhere. This one's going straight to our 'never again' list.
