Okay, so I bought this book on a whim because the cover had this cute little egg with legs (??), and now I’m low-key obsessed. My 5-year-old usually treats books like temporary trampolines, but this one? He actually sat still. Miracle.
The story is simple but sneaky-deep—it’s about nurturing ideas even when they seem silly or impossible. My kid now points at random things (like a waffle) and goes, 'THIS WAS SOMEONE’S IDEA, MOM.' Mind. Blown.
Confession: I teared up when the ‘idea’ in the book grows wings. Maybe because my own 'I should learn yoga' idea is still crawling on the floor after 3 years. The illustrations? Gorgeous watercolors that make my Target-print-wall-art look tragic.
PSA to adults: Skip your 7th self-help book this month and read this instead. It’s like therapy but with more rainbows and zero weird breathing exercises.
Final verdict: 10/10 would buy again just to watch my kid ‘read’ it to the cat while wearing underwear as a hat (his latest idea).
