Okay, so I finally caved and bought this flexible draining funnel after seeing it all over mechanic forums. And wow – why didn’t I get this sooner?!
First off, it’s NOT some flimsy plastic junk. It’s made of nitrile rubber (NBR), which means it bends like crazy but doesn’t crack or split. I’ve used it in freezing garage temps and during summer heatwaves – no issues.
The real magic? It molds around my truck’s awkwardly placed oil filter like putty. No more oil dripping onto the suspension or skid plates (RIP my old cardboard funnel hacks). Just wipe it down, roll it up, and toss it in my toolbox.
Bonus: My wife caught me using it to water her hanging plants last week. Multi-purpose king! Though maybe don’t tell her I previously used it for motor oil…
Downside? Took forever to arrive. But now that it’s here? Absolute game-changer for DIY oil changes. 10/10 would recommend to anyone tired of oil-stained driveways.
