The hardware itself is impressive with dual fuel support, humidifier controls, and external temp sensor compatibility. I particularly love being able to set precise rules for when auxiliary heat kicks in. Installation was straightforward, and it handles my AC, heating, and whole-house humidifier seamlessly.

However (and this is a big however), the app situation is a nightmare. Like other reviewers, I spent days battling registration issues before giving up on Resideo's app entirely. The fact that I now need multiple apps to control different thermostats in my home is ridiculous for a premium product.

The sensor compatibility issues are equally frustrating. There's no way to know which hardware version you're getting, leading to potential mismatches with remote sensors. While Resideo's support team was surprisingly helpful via video chat when I called, these problems shouldn't exist in the first place.

When it works (which is most of the time), this thermostat delivers excellent performance and smart features. But be prepared for potential headaches with setup and compatibility issues that might require technical support intervention.
