I've been using the Xerox C235DNI for about a month now, and it's been... interesting. The setup was surprisingly easy - just unbox, plug in, and connect to Wi-Fi. No IT degree required! The wireless printing works like a charm with my MacBook and iPhone via AirPrint.
The print quality is crisp, especially for color documents. I printed some marketing materials, and the colors popped nicely. At 24 pages per minute, it's fast enough for my small business needs. The automatic two-sided printing is a lifesaver when dealing with multi-page contracts.
However, the scanner has been frustrating. Like other reviewers mentioned, the default scans come out way too light. I had to dig into the settings (which aren't intuitive) to adjust the darkness manually. Even then, some documents have weird white patches in the middle.
The toner situation is concerning. After printing about 150 pages (mostly black text with some color charts), I'm already getting low toner alerts. At this rate, those expensive replacement cartridges won't last nearly as long as advertised.
For basic printing tasks in a home office? It's decent if you can overlook the scanner issues and budget for toner replacements. But if scanning is crucial for your work (like it is for me), you might want to keep looking.
