Okay, so I finally got my hands on the Interstellar 4K Blu-Ray and WOW. The black hole scenes alone justify upgrading from my old DVD copy. The way the light bends around Gargantua in HDR? Chef's kiss.
Sound design is INSANE - Hans Zimmer's organ score vibrates through my apartment walls (sorry neighbors). Pro tip: Watch with subtitles because Cooper's mumbling + spaceship noises = missed dialogue.
Special features are nerdy heaven! The 50-minute doc with Kip Thorne explaining wormhole physics made me feel smart for 3 whole minutes before my brain short-circuited. Also includes cute BTS footage of McConaughey being confused by zero-gravity wire work.
Downside? The emotional damage hits harder in 4K. That 23-year message scene wrecked me all over again. Had to pause to ugly cry into my NASA hoodie.
Final verdict: 10/10 would time-dilate again. This disc stays in my player longer than Miller's planet orbit.
