Okay, so I finally caved and got these proofing baskets after seeing them everywhere on baking Instagram. And wow, they did NOT disappoint!
First off, the rattan material is legit. My dough doesn't stick at all when I dust it properly with rice flour (protip: use rice flour!). The spiral patterns they leave on the bread? Chef's kiss.
The set of two is perfect because I can proof one loaf while shaping another. The 8.5" size makes these adorable little boules that are perfect for gifting (my neighbors are getting so much sourdough now).
Small note: the liners are nice but I prefer using shower caps for covering - keeps the moisture just right. Also, no weird smells like some reviewers mentioned!
After 3 months of weekly use, they still look brand new. Worth every penny for any serious home baker!
