Let me start by saying this bike light is a BEAST. The brightness is insane – like, 'I can see every pebble on the trail at midnight' kind of bright. I took it out on some wooded paths near my place, and it felt like I had car headlights mounted on my handlebars.
The build quality is solid – almost too solid. This thing has some weight to it, which makes it feel durable but might bother weight-conscious cyclists. The aluminum mount feels sturdy, though I did notice the screw worked loose during my first ride (more on that later).
What really impressed me were the lighting modes. The daytime running light is genius – a thin LED strip that makes you visible without blinding others. The main beams offer great flexibility too: outer beams for wide visibility, center beam for distance, or all three for maximum illumination.
Now for the not-so-great parts: The mounting system could use improvement. Even with two mounting options, I found myself using just one because getting both to align perfectly was nearly impossible. And that screw loosening issue? After my initial test, I tried tightening it with pliers, which helped but didn't completely solve the problem.
The taillight deserves special mention. The various flashing patterns (especially the moving back-and-forth one) make you incredibly visible from behind. I feel much safer riding at night knowing cars can actually see me.
Battery life is decent but not amazing. I got about 4 hours on high beam mode before needing a recharge. The USB charging is convenient though – I just plug it into my power bank when I'm not using it.
Final verdict? If you regularly ride at night or in low-light conditions, this light is absolutely worth considering. Just be prepared to occasionally check that mounting screw, and maybe keep a hex key in your repair kit.
