Okay, so I finally got this door security bar after reading mixed reviews. Here’s my unfiltered experience with it:
First off, the LOUD SIREN is no joke—120 db is legit ear-piercing. I tested it (sorry, neighbors), and it went off at the slightest nudge. Perfect for scaring off intruders or overly curious pets.
The adjustable length (32”-48”) is a lifesaver. It fits my sliding patio door AND my bedroom window. The iron construction feels sturdy, and the rubber stoppers grip like they mean it. No sliding around!
But… the instructions? A disaster. Tiny font, vague diagrams. Had to hunt online for battery info (it takes a 9V, FYI). Also, one reviewer said theirs died in a month—mine’s still going strong after 2, but I’m keeping receipts.
Verdict: For $30, it’s a solid extra layer of security. Just pray you don’t need the manual.
